Abstract
Chemistry remains a critical yet formidable subject, widely regarded as one of the most difficult and anxiety-inducing courses in education. Like an unfamiliar language, its symbolic structure often leads to academic difficulty, high failure rates, and disengagement, creating a significant barrier to STEM careers.

This article introduces the concept of Molecular Literacy as an innovative pedagogical approach to reduce these barriers. Drawing on parallels between language acquisition and chemistry education, this framework emphasizes early, incremental exposure to chemical concepts and symbols, using ageappropriate strategies to foster long-term competency. Practical applications and evidence-based interventions are discussed, including the integration of games, storytelling, and media to create engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Ultimately, Molecular Literacy seeks to reframe chemistry as an accessible and universal language essential for scientific literacy and global citizenship.
